Reactions around the National Lacrosse League

“We liked where we were with our roster coming into the off-season and wanted to build on the success we had last year,” Bandits general manager Steve Dietrich told Bandits.com. “I think teams that maintain stability have success in this league and we’re hoping that’s the case with our team this season.”

“After three weeks of training camp, I have great confidence in the players we’ve selected to the roster,” Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett told ColoradoMammoth.com. “The coaches did a tremendous job in promoting competition from day one.”

“There are not a lot of changes from our 2014 roster. Curtis Knight starts the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list with an injury sustained in the off season. This makes the drafting of Ben McIntosh 1st overall that much more important,” said Rush general manager and head coach Derek Keenan told EdmontonRush.com. “They are both right shots and we have a lot of confidence in Ben stepping in and contributing at the NLL level like he has at every level he’s played. We are also thrilled to have Corey Small back in 2015. Corey is an accomplished scorer and I don’t think you can ever have too much offense.”

“A lot of work has gone into the acquisition and selection of players which make up this team, by a lot of people within our organization,” Black Wolves head coach Blane Harrison told BlackWolves.com. “We believe at this point in time we have a roster that can compete for the Champions Cup.”

“We still have a hungry group here that’s looking to compete and lay it on the line for the Knighthawks,” Knighthawks head coach Mike Hasen told Knighthawks.com.

“There were some very difficult decisions,” Rock head coach John Lovell told TorontoRock.com.  “We are happy with the roster the way it stands today.  If this was cast in stone, then we made some good decisions moving forward.  We had the people at camp we wanted, and now we’ve narrowed it down to 24.  We like who we have.”

“We have a solid corps of returning veterans who are very hungry this year,” Stealth President and General Manager Doug Locker told StealthLax.com. “Coupled with the players we acquired in the off-season, we feel the mix is there to contend deep into the post-season.”

The league’s 29th year opens with NLL Face Off Weekend 2015 presented by New Era on January 2-3 with every team in action. Find the complete schedule for the 2015 NLL season by clicking here.
